Molded: The Life of Jacob

As the son of Isaac, the grandson of Abraham, and the man nicknamed “Israel,” we may look at Jacob as a larger-than-life patriarch of the faith. In reality, he was a highly flawed man whom God used in spite of his many faults. Starting as a spoiled kid who learned early how to get his way through deception, Jacob’s life experiences molded him into a much different person. He finished life with a limp: evidence of God’s loving discipline and the maturity that only painful lessons can bring.
