Where?
Cali is a strategic city in Colombia. Known as “La capital mundial de la salsa” (The Salsa music capital of the world), “La Capital deportiva de Colombia” (Sports Capital of Colombia) and “La Sucursal del Cielo” (Branch of heaven), Cali is the second-largest city in the country by area, and the third most populous after Bogotá and Medellín. As the only major Colombian city with access to the Pacific Coast, Cali is the main urban and economic center in the south of the country, and has one of Colombia’s fastest-growing economies. They say the biggest danger in traveling to Colombia is that you will never want to leave. Between its vast mountain ranges and sprawling coastlines, the country’s picturesque scenes will capture your heart. But among the 46 million people living in Colombia, many have never heard the story of Jesus or experienced his grace firsthand.
e3 Partners has been working in and around the region of Cali for a number of years with great success. In particular, the development of the e3 Colombia Mentor Network has been very successful in training hundreds of pastors and leaders with the vision and tools for starting, strengthening and establishing new churches. Our participation as American Missionaries in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting trips are a powerful encouragement and motivation for the Colombian partners.
