When Christmas is over, the sad reality is that many of us will enter the new year feeling tired, disappointed, and depressed. Should we be surprised? December is packed with office parties, kids' concerts, family conflicts, awful Hallmark specials, unrealistic expectations...not to mention the gifts: buying, re-gifting, return policies, credit card debt...please make it stop. What if we could simplify this whole thing? In this series, we'll strip down Christmas to just four words: hope, wait, believe, and behold. Stretching from ancient Israel to Bethlehem to today, each word contains a depth of meaning that will de-clutter our Christmas and re-focus us on what truly matters: loving God and loving people.
